My way of AlternateMceIrService handling:
I use Action "System -> Start Application"
Parameters:
Executable: cmd.exe
Command line options: /c net stop AlternateMceIrService and /c net start AlternateMceIrService
use it before any IR transmitting operation

MCE (old): transmitting pronto hex code
Hello,
how could I transmit pronto code with the old MCE remote plugin (i know only the new uses pronto)? What kind of type the code is now?
Is the only way to transmit it, is to learn it from other device? Or maybe there is somekind of converting tool? Thank you for the answers.
