Afte I updated my NIC drivers this issues went away. Strange but true.

I am seeing a similar issue after upgrading to Windows 8. I did not have this issue under Windows 7. I hope someone out there can help.

Look in your \XBMC\system\keymaps folder. Each of these keymaps specify what to do when a button is pressed, either keyboard, remote, joystick etc. There is a section in each xml file for each XBMC screen or OSD. Does your remote send 2 different signals for the up key? One for press and one for press and hold?

I just use the built in windows power functions. The idle timeout issues I had with XBMC got fixed within XBMC so now everything works as it should.

If it has a "window" you can look at adding action\window\close. First you'll have to find the window you want to close. Best to start a new thread for this.

LOL. I figured you were making screenshots of it all, that is why I hurried up and just posted basic text

I don't think you want to disable/enable the plugins. You want to switch between the XBMCrepeat macro trees. You should have 2 sets of those in your Context Folder (hopefully that is where you put them).

Not sure why that file would make select not work out side of fullscreen video. It works fine for me. Anyhow, it sounds like you are squared away so it doesn't really matter.

im wondering how to set up a macro to switch between xbmc like i hold 0 1.5sec and it jumps to a diff ip i hold 1.5sec ...

EDIT:sigh now the select butten isnt working in xbmc it works wile a video is playing tho so it has to be a issue in the remote.xml that you gave me but i swear it worked not to long ago after i put it in there

yea i figured it out every thing after 9 my remote does not have im useing the xbox dvd kit (the old first gen xbox)
will 3 6 9 still do the volume in xbmc on the computer? Doesn't look like it, the remote buttons are defined in (XBMC dir)\system\keymaps\remote.xml .

I'll make a remote.xml with ...

If you assign them as such. You HAVE to assign the remote events (button presses) to actions (macros).

It started happening in SVN sometime after Camelot I believe. It got fixed a few weeks ago. I was having my HTPC going to sleep as I was navigating menus 5 minutes after watching a video.
