I've got my Onkyo, HR20 and HTPC/XBMC under control.

My TV is IR control only. Any suggestions for an IR blaster/repeater I can use w/ eventghost to turn my tv on and off?

I'd vote for the USB-UIRT. Probably the best supported device, and it will let you have up to 3 zones if you buy the extension blasters. It's what I use to wrangle my IR-only devices like my projector and blinds.

I second that, although I fear the manufacturer support is not that good any more.

I have the USB-UIRT as well as the Keene IR Anywhere

Both are working fine. Keene has an advantage that you can install it far away from the computer "anywhere in the world" as long as you have a network/IP connection between it and the PC

For a multi-level style house, the Keene is most likely the best choice (one on each floor for instance)

Keene has really good support too

Hi, I am interested in the keene module to control IR equipments. Could you help me before I buy it ? I installed the plug-in in EG and saw the "Transmit IR" action. But there isn't a learn action as USBUIRT ? How could I get the IR code of my equipments in the keene format ?

Hi,

There is software to download from Keene that allows you to learn via the unit directly from remotes -> Keene format

The author of the Keene IR Anywhere plugin (Idobson) has received an updated version from me that also supports native pronto code format directly (if you already have a lot of pronto codes for re-use). He had some more work to finish before the update can be made public
