I am in the process of setting up a HTPC for myself and I am looking at EventGhost to interface my remote control (an old Cyberlink USB IR) with several programs.
Up to this point I can control XBMC with the remote but I want to launch and control more.
Using a macro I made the "home" button on my remote launch a program, I was looking to change a few buttons to launch different programs but another one of the programs is running to not launch.
For example if XBMC is running, don't launch PowerDVD.
This should mean that the function I assigned to that button for XBMC will work and not launch PowerDVD.
I think that this will involve some python but I have no idea where to start with any python.
I would very much appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction, maybe with a sample.
