Post by joie »

Hi there;

Do you know Telebision?

http://www.telebision.com/

How could I control that with eventghost?.

It's based on XBMC by the way...

Thank's in advance.

P.S.: I use EventGhost 0.3.7.r1194 (latest) on winXP 32bit sp3.

It's just a XBMC skin right?

Yes eventghost can control XBMC. (Eventghost can control everything but my wife and my dog).

Thank you for your reply.

I use the XBMC plugin and it works like a charm except for the direction keys..., they jump two positions instead of one.

I mean, when I click the right button in my remote (Logitech ultraX), it doesn't perform one movement to the right, it performs it two times, so movint along the menus is quite impossible right now.

Is there any way to prevent that?, to be able to move just one time in a direction instead of two times?.

Thank's in afvance.

Post your config, you somehow send two actions accidentally. Have you disabled all other macros except for XBMC? What does the log say?

EventGhost uses a .XML file for its config, I guess the default name is MyConfig.xml. and for me its saved in (Windows username)\Application Data\EventGhost directory, post that its just a text file.

Edit: and post what the log says when you press a button that creates the double action.

I think I found the source of the double actions, you need to remove the duplicate XBMC actions from the Keyboard Emulation folder, Up/Down/Left/Right. And you should disable the Keyboard Emulation folder when controlling XBMC as there might be other conflicts.

Thank you, it went right and now I can control telebision perfectly.

So I guess all I needed to do is disable the keyboard emulation folder and that's all.

Glad I could help.

You can use a macro to disable it only when using telebision.

You can check out my XBMC plugin XBMCRepeat it has support for more features and I feel it works better when using a remote. I guess it should work with telebision if the default plugin does.
