Same signal on few buttons on Cyberlink pilot

Post by Przemek6085 »

Hi, i'm using the newest version of EG + Vista Home Premium 32bit for mapping buttons on my Cyberlink RC pilot (this pilot: http://8290263444909009431-a-1802744773 ... edirects=0 ). It's using Microsoft HID and i must choose three 'virtual device' named as Topspeed tech corp. But few important buttons has a same signal for EventGhost. e.g. one button from 'white field' has a signal named as REV (the same signal has a rewind button). Any chance to have two signals for two buttons?
Sorry, for my horrible english :)
and smaller problem.
few buttons on top has a functionallity for powerdvd and Windows media center. how to off it?

If the events that overlap each other are from the different HID instances, you could use the prefix option in the HID plugin to tell them apart from each other? Then you would have HID1.REV and HID2.REV, and you could tell the difference between them.

Just guessing here..

oh yes, your post was really helpful. Thanks.
But few buttons are not seen by EG: numerical, top-down, left-right etc. It's good. They works as a keyboard buttons.
But, also OK and enter buttons. they are understand by DVBViewer as the same command. Any chance for two commands for these two buttons? :)

Do the buttons emulate keyboard presses even without EG running? This is a common problem and the solution is to block the keypresses from doing their default action. For example put them to an empty macro in EG. You can also prevent some extra buttons (play, pause, sleep, mail etc.) from doing their default thing using microsofts TweakUI powertool or a program called sharpkeys.

After you have successfully stopped the default action from happening you should use EventGhosts DVBViewer plugin (or other EG actions) instead.

Sorry, i'm not the best person to ask about HID remotes as I don't have one myself. Maybe I should get one just to see what people are talking about. You should aslo try searching the forum, this has probably been answered in some other thread already.

This smaller problem with opening WMC with few buttons i'm solved with replace exe file of WMC, with cmd32.exe (which isn't opening any programs, also in background). Maybe that's not real solve, but it's enough for me :)
So, now i have only one problem with one commands for two important buttons 8)

I'm not sure, if I'm understand you. How to add this buttons to the macro, if they aren't even registered by log of EG? They works as a standard keyboard buttons - e.g. OK and Enter buttons are opening window with configure of mark element in EG.
Sorry for my english and big thanks for your replies.
