Is it possible to import the font into the Iphone? I have an "LCD style" readout font for my phone but the iPhone doesn't recognize the font so it defaults to a different font.

Currently in Command fusion you can set how a page "Transitions" in the page properties dialog. A better place to set a page change transition would be in the Button Properties dialog. This could be an additional tab of "transition settings" that would appear if the Page Flip drop down is set to a page.

Why?

I have my DirecTV remote interface which is 3 pages. Along the right side middle of Page 1 of this remote I have an Arrow/Triangle that points right (click this triggers Page 2 to show). On page 2 of the DirecTV remote I have an arrow on the middle left side pointing left (returns to page 1) and the middle right side one pointing right (go to page 3). On page 3 I have one arrow pointing left on the middle left side (go back to page 2).

What I would like to be able to do is set the transition on those page flip buttons. So, If I click the right arrow on page one, the transition would be Page 2 pushes in from the right. On page 2 if I click the left button (return to page 1) page 1 pushes in from the left. On page 2 if I click the right arrow Page 3 pushes in from the right. And, again, on page 3 if I click that left arrow Page 2 pushes in from the left.

You can see I would like to be able to push the new page in based on the what the current page being viewed is.

On my Stereo remote interface page, I have a text tool/field set aside as an "LCD Readout" for information on Sleep timer, Frequency, Listening Mode, Input Selected ect.

Would it be possible to add some field properties to the "Text Properties" dialog?

Default state: Visible/Invisible

If default state is invisible, a field to enter the amount of time in seconds that the text field should become visible when it's value is changed.

On my Onkyo/Denon interface that I wrote (before finding CommandFusion) I have a field that shows the frequency. The frequency always has priority over other information to be displayed in that same field.

So, if I set the sleep timer on my Onkyo, "SLEEP 90" appears for 10 seconds before the display reverts back to the frequency. The same goes for listening mode. When the listening mode is changed, the text field shows the new listening mode for 10 seconds before reverting back to showing the frequency.

If we had text fields in CF that could be set to only be visible when the value is changed and to dissappear after a timeout period I could stack multiple text fields to achieve the same effect.

The lowest text field could be my frequency and always be on/visible. A second text field could be placed over the top of the frequency text field which would show a sleep time, listening mode or input change, display for X amount of seconds (covering up the frequency textfield) before dissappearing.

I looked at the web site... it looks nice but WAY more then I need and willing to pay. Looks like it is mainly for Crestron & AMX but I think the days of programming every aspect of the interface are nearing extinction (as it should be).

I use...
Harmony Remote - $40 new, $30 used - for my Home Theatre
XBMC Remote iPhone app for my XBMC media center, $3 (http://remote.collect3.com.au)
EventGhost (free) to build a few events that are triggered by IR (from Harmony) or HTTP command

In combo these do everything CommandFusion will do (minus Crestron/AMX) and much more with nearly zero programming/gui building needed.

Harmony "Activities" automatically handles all equipment states with zero effort (It just knows what to do based on the Activity) and soon the XBMC Remote app will be able to send custom HTTP commands to any HTTP server, like my Homeseer home automation app and EventGhost. This will all me to simply create a few events in EG and have my iPhone/iPod do everything from a single app... again, no GUI building or programming needed, except a very few events in EG.

I cannot build a super intricate GUI with these and I don't want to - that is old school - been there done that several times. I want it to auto generate what I need by knowing my equipment and what activities I use it for (like the Harmony does... and this is how I build events in EG).

I'm not knocking CF, it is just made for something totally different. If you want to hand-build a GUI and have an "old school" remote it looks great. If you want "intelligent" integration & automation... not so much.

I get where you are coming from, but I guess I prefer the customizability. With our software I can control anything, and have feedback shown on my GUI exactly how I want it, from any system.

Sure its nice to auto generate the GUI, but I find that more often than not it gives me too much or not enough of the features I want, just like an old remote - so many buttons, use maybe 1/4 of them.
What I like to do is put all the superfluous buttons on the landscape view, so I can have full control when I need, but just have my common controls right at my finger tips.

Our software is definitely aimed more at the home automation market, with the side-effect that it works well as an interface for software like EventGhost. Controlling basic AV gear via IR is and has been done by every man and his dog, so iViewer is aimed at integrating not only that IR control, but ethernet control of realistically anything you can imagine, all in the one app. No switching between apps to control your whole house lighting system, AV system, multi-room audio, heating/cooling, etc.

I often get upset when I see comments lowering the value of software compared to the many thousands people spend on hardware. I understand iViewer is too expensive for what most EventGhost users will want to do with it, but I'm glad some people are waking up to the fact that software is what makes our life easier and are prepared to part with a few hours wage (at the lowest pay scale) for a totally unique and tailored end result.

I spent alot of time on my Ajax interface for lutron, denon and onkyo receivers, directv, pioneer and samsung tv's ect. I was able to recreate it in commandfusion in a fraction of the time just playing with CF without reading the instructions. The program's setup made sense to me. My remote loads instantly unlike my web served Ajax remote.

It can talk to devices all across the network and maintain persistant connections (I use telnet to talk to lutron).

It is expensive but cheaper then a comparable harmony touchscreen remote. I like my two harmony 880's but hate programming the in a web based interface.

CommandFusion is also aggressively supported to say the least.

I try, but don't get connection to the gui file.
Eventghost and guiDesigner are on a Eeepc 900 on adres 192.168.1.72:8020.
EventGhost give ÔÇ£CommandFusion.ConnectionLostÔÇØ and when getting the gui file on the iPhone I get the error message: Can't read GUI file at URL http://192.168.1.72:8020.
Firewall and router are open for port 8020.

Do you have an idea.

GUI File uploading and the EventGhost plugin connection are two very different things. You load the GUI file from guiDesigner using the upload service after configuring your GUI file to connect to your EventGhost server.

In guiDesigner you set the project properties to match the connection properties of your EventGhost server.

Then you need to have the upload service running in guiDesigner and point iViewer settings to the Upload Service URL and launch iViewer to upload your GUI file to the iPhone cache. Then you can close the app and turn off 'Reload GUI File' in iphone iViewer settings. Then each launch after that it loads from cache without needing the Upload Service running.

Basic workflow:
Setup EventGhost server
Create your GUI project (including pointing it to EventGhost)
Upload GUI file to iPhone
Configure EventGhost to do whatever you want on each button press (the plugin registers the events in the log as you press each button for you to use as triggers).
