EventGhost v0.3.7.r1194
Running on Windows XP SP3
I have my USB-UIRT set up to transmit IR only (EventGhost receives commands over TCP using the Network Event Receiver plugin). This works for my whole set up except for the power on/off for the TV and I just canÔÇÖt figure it out. ItÔÇÖs not that the TV doesnÔÇÖt respond because it does respond to other commands beside the power on/off.
The only distinction is that the power on/off IR codes are not coming from the original remote (since it has only a power toggle button). These IR codes has been downloaded from LGÔÇÖs web site. But I donÔÇÖt see what the difference is?
The IR codes that is sent looks like this (if itÔÇÖs any help):
Power on:
0000 006C 0000 0002 0158 0056 0016 0E4E
Power off:
0000 006C 0000 0002 0158 0056 0016 0E4F
My TV is an LG 47LY95.
Can anyone shed any light on this?

Re: USB-UIRT transmitting problem
I don't think the codes looks like raw pronto codes (which you need for the usb-uirt). They looks rather like codes which you put into a Philips PRONTO remote
Have you tried to find info on RemoteCentral?
This thread might be of interest
http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/mb ... d.cgi?3902
Also you might follow information in using software's like "makehex" and "hex2CCF" to generate raw pronto. You can find those software's at their download page
Best regards, Walter

Re: USB-UIRT transmitting problem
I tried with the code on that site but the USB-UIRT plugin says "Device not ready" in the log when test it. It's a bit shorter than my code so I dunno what that means.
I don't know anything about IR-codes and their structure, hence my post at this forum.
I did get help from the USB-UIRT support though, and now I have it working.
The IR code for Power off looks like this now:
0000 006C 0022 0002 0158 00AC 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 05E5 0158 0056 0016 0E53
I'm also a bit embarrassed to admit that the power on works just fine as it is. I never even tried the power on since the TV never powered off (yeah, you can call me a n00b). ;D

Re: USB-UIRT transmitting problem
In the mean time, since we already have USB-UIRT's, this is a working path for similar issues;
- Get yourself a harmony (I have the 525 and the 555) and add the device you need pronto codes for to its configuration using the web at Logitech
- Then in EG, add the plugin for USB-UIRT, and add a macro with action, "Learn IR", point the remote and press quickly on the button you need. Select accept burst and then you have captured the pronto code
- Repeat and create macros/actions for every button/function you need
It worked fine for me, the Power ON/OFF below is also working for my LG's even though they are not exactly the same models
Best regards, Walter
