Why does eventghost stop working after using crap cleaner

Hi, Been using EG for a while now but i never mess with it now that it works for me, and I am a newbie when it comes to understanding how it works TBH, and as time as gone by, I forget how I would modify it to control something else.

Anyway, I've had this problem once before and am struggling to remeber how i fixed it.
Occasionally I run the well known program "Crap Cleaner" including a registry clean.
(I'm running XP SP3) and when I do this Event Ghost no longer responds to my Hauppage DVB-S card remote control??

Tried exiting and restarting Event Ghost with no joy. Any ideas??
Edit..Maybe it's the WinTV application IR.exe that is the problem??

If EG isn't spitting out any errors, my guess is that the driver for your card was messed up so it no longer produces events. Try installing the driver again?

I don't have that equipment, so I'm just guessing.

Thanks, you set me off in the right direction anyway.
EG was complaining IR32.exe could not be found. I reinstalled that file from my Hauppage install CD and now it works again.

One more question.. Can i use event ghost to opens files on one of my hard drives.
Ie:- I want to naviagte to the root of K:\
and then open folders there which have video files in them? They are iso files which get virtually mounted when clicked on.

I would guess that's possible, but I don't know offhand how to do it. You will probably get more views if you post that question in a new thread.
