Directv 2 PC and WMC Reply button problem

Post by spydraver »

I am running windows 7 64bit. I have set up EventGhost to emulate the key commands to run the respective programs. My problem is the replay button for DTV 2 PC is Ctrl+I and the Replay for WMC is Ctrl+B. Since both commands are bound to the same button how do I make it so it will only execute the Ctrl+I when DTV2PC is open and only Execute the Ctrl+B when WMC is open? WMC has a Crtl+I function in it as well and when I press the button it seems to execute both commands in a chain and replays then opens a pictures folder. FWIW I'm totally new to using EG so any responses please keep it simple....LOL

Thanks

After some more reading and thinking about it. Is the answer going to be to write a separate plugin for the directv2pc program? As of now I have just made a list of macros that launch and control the program.

You will need to use exclusives to tell what commands EventGhost can use when. Then you need to have a way to tell Eventghost which app you want it to control, you can use the Tasks plugin to determine with app is in focus, when loaded and when closed. You can use those to switch the exclusive mode.

So is this what I need it to look like. Sorry not at home atm and dont have it all set up on my lappy. Of course with all the other macros along with the reply one in that folder.

Brings me to another question. Can set it up to use the blue button to close the program as well or do I need to macro Close Program to another button?
