I have a few buttons free on my MCE remote and I thought I could maybe use them to turn on my AV Amp and change the volume ?. Is it possible ?.

Yup learn the buttons from your amp into Eventghost, then learn the buttons for the remote you desire. Then create a macro who's event is the MCE remote's IR and the output is the amps remote's IR.

Really you can use one button as a switch to move between setting the whole remote to MCE or AMP mode, then you can program all the MCE buttons to run the amp in that mode.
Windows XP Pro sp3 - Several Machines usually latest beta but who knows.
Inputs: TCP / IR (USBUIRT) / RF(X10 Remote) / CLI-Batch / CCTV Motion / Ocelot
Outputs: TCP / IR (USBUIRT) / SageTV / SageTV Clients / YAC CallerID / HAL v3.7.3 / Ocelot

Wow, that sounds awesome. Is there a guide floating around ?, as I'm not completely knowledgeable about the program.

If you really want this to work well get an x10 RF remote like the Firelfy, this will work much more reliably and but MUCH easier to get running. As a bonus it'll work without point the remote in any specific location.

Other wise you'll need to just get all the amp codes learned into macros with no events to trigger them.
