Checking the status of router/website

Post by merdok1981 »

Hi Guys,

There is something i've been trying to figure out how to do in EventGhost

Basically what I want to be able to do is to ping my router (Or possibly a website address) to check my internet connection status. (Dodgy router - keeps loosing internet connection) It should try the connection and do nothing if its active, if the ping takes too long or fails completely it should create an event.

Is there any pre-existing solution to do this? If not then please can someone tell my what I should put in a python script (never used python before in my life so go easy on me please :) )
