Start Application Macro?

Using: Windows 7 32 bit Build 7600, EventGhost 0.3.7.r965 & Original Xbox Remote

Ok, I started using EventGhost for use with XBMC. I've read some guides and got the remote to work best using the XBMCRepeat Plugin.

I now want to find a way to launch XBMC from windows by pressing the Display button(on remote). The problem is when I go to create a Macro to Start Application I can't drag that button from the log plane, because it is assigned to a Macro in the XBMCRepeat folder. Also how do I use this "Exclusive" thing so that I don't keep relaunching XBMC once it's already open(after I figure out my first question)? I have read the Guides.

Not to be greedy, but Screenshots of the Configuration tree would be sweet. I'm a visual learner. Thanks for any help

I don't understand what you mean by "can't because it is assigned to a Macro". You should be able to create the start application action in a new macro (probably best to do it outside the XBMCRepeat folder), then add the event to the macro - even if the event is assigned somewhere else as well.

If the same event is tied to multiple macros, they will all run. That is, unless exclusions are used to disable folders so only one is active. That's what the exclusion macros are for.

Thanks for the response. I got it figured out. I was trying to drag the "macro" from the log plane but I needed the "event".
