explaination:
My setup will be this
internet
|
| wifi link
|
Fit-Pc2 (server, always on, CIR)
|
| 1Gb LAN
|
nVidia Ion (HTPC)
And I want it to do this:
1. Wake up and hibernate my ION platform on LAN (I really can't imagine this will be a problem since I'm used to WOL and remote hibernation, as long EventGhost is able to run a batch file I'll be home free)
2. It has to function as a HID on the ION platform too, therefore it has to send some kind of information over LAN to the ION platform in order to function as an a HID.. Because I want to control MCE on the ION platform (like the arrow keys, space, enter and so on) this I'm a little worried about
- I'm aware that it would require some kind of software/"EventGhost driver" on the ION platform, and maybe even a plugin for EventGhost..
3. yes I am aware that it would be a lot esier just to make a CIR controller for the ION, but then I will miss the cool function of remotely turning on and "off" my ION platform, as my fit-pc is on like 24/7 on top on it anyway
Is this set up possible? or do I have to make the plugins/software my self to make this work?
The remote will be the universal remote in my living room (do not like too many remotes on the table at once, one is enough for me)
Both PC's will be windows 7 and the Fit-Pc will run EventGhost 0.3.7.r1262
Best Regards
