I have been using EG for about a week now to be able to control XBMC with my MS MCE Remote. So far I have been happy with it, being able to intercept all commands from the MCE remote, my Hauppauge remote and the remote for my Mirai TV.
I can use either of my remotes to control the PC but ofc I would like to control my TV as well, using an IR blaster.
I have been trying for several days now, first with the MS MCE receiver and the MS MCE remote. There is even an event in the MCE plugin to transmit IR but when I press Learn in the configuration it just hangs up. I have tried using the replacement MCE driver that is described in several forums but that doesn't seem to work at all with Windows 7.
I have tried with the Hauppauge WinTV 150 card I had lying around but I can't seem to get it to work with EG at all.
My question is, how can I use EG with the Hauppauge card or, preferably, how can I use IR blasting with the MCE receiver.
I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate (fully updated) with EG 0.3.7.r1262

I would like to echo the same question. I'm really new to this stuff and a forum search hasn't made me any wiser
My needs are really simple: I want to capture the vol-up and vol-down presses on my gyration remote and, as a result, send an IR blast over my mce IR transceiver to operate the volume on my LG amp.
I'm mightily impressed with EventGhost as, despite my lack of experience in these matters, I can see exactly how to do this
I can see that the gyration buttons are registering as an event and I have attached an mce remote 'transmitIR' action to this event. When I do that, it asks to learn the IR code so I press the learn button and it just hangs 
Pressing buttons on the amp's remote does nothing and if I press cancel it will eventually exit learning mode.
I guess what I'm asking is: 'why can't I get EvenGhost to learn the IR code' and, secondly if it ever does, will it blast successfully using te mce remote transceiver (it has to blast sockets on the back and works as a blaster from media center with a set-top-box fine).

Are you both using this plugin? That is the recommended plugin for Vista/Win7. I don't think transmit was ever working in the original plugin.
