I am new to eventghost and by no means am i a developer, just a simple user. I am trying to find a way to toggle a monitor on and off using one button on my android phone. can someone help me do this. FYI no idea how to write any script.

3 parts to this...

1) how are you sending commands from EG to the monitor?

2) you need the EG event code (I can provide an example later).

3) what are you using on your client to send commands to EG? (EG's web interface, other web interface which sends to EG, direct network command to EG, etc)
setup... XBMC, W7MC for DVR & Live OTA TV, JRMC for multi-zone audio, EG, MiCasaVerde Vera3, USB-UIRT IR receiver, Harmony remote, 5.2 home theater system

First off I am using EG for Android on my Moto Droid. just sending the "set monitor into standy mode" and "re-enable monitor" actions from EG. No ir or anything, just video card commands. both actions work, but just wanted one button to toggle on and off instead off one for on and one for off.

So have an event that detects the state (guess this would be communications with your video card) and does the opposite.
