I have a Hauppauge HVR-1850 remote that works with an IR Blaster and Receiver that plugs into the tuner card.

W7 Home Premium Version 6.1 Build 1600
I just downloaded EventGhost and I am using it for my first time. Trying to follow tutorial here:

I added the Hauppauge plugin and then I receive the error "Couldn't start the Hauppauge remote control"
Please advise.

I am a complete newbie with eventghost... I read and searched but cannot get it working.
When the Hauppauge PlugIn is enabled I get the error, even if I stop the Hauppauge IR program and restart Eventghost.
I also installed the Windows MCE plugin. I do not really care about WinTV app as I want to use my Hauppauge remote primarily with Windows 7.
Eventghost recognizes when I press keys on the Hauppauge remote.

If EventGhost is recognizing keys, is the problem just that there is an extra log message? Can you ignore it?
