xPL plugin *problem solved

Post by Rubam »

Hi

I'm new at this so I hope my questions aren't to stupid.

I've installed xPL Hub, manager and so on and it seems as the xPL network is working fine.
My problem is that I can't get the xPL plugin to work in EG (0.3.7.r1462). I'm running win Vista..

Could anyone give me a hint on how to solve this?

Re: xPL plugin

I believe you have just re-created the same problem I experienced once

See here:
http://www.eventghost.org/forum/viewtop ... 9&start=15

I was able to make it work in this way

1) Stop the xpl hub
2) Configure EG, add the xpl plugin, save, exit EG
3) Start the xpl hub
4) start EG

After this, I could start EG or the hub in any order

Best regards, Walter

Thanks Walter :)

It didn't work when I followed your steps directly but it sure helped me.
If anyone should have this problem in the future, here's what I had to do to get it working:

1 Stop xPL hub (in Services)
2 Open EG and add plugin (Crashed on reopen if I closed EG here)
3 Start xPL hub

voilà
