Excellent application you have going here!
Windows 7 Ultimate x86 / latest EventGhost
I have seen this as a common recurrence with people using EventGhost, and was wondering if there was a plugin or solution. The XBOX 360 Controller (wireless and wired) only has 8 out of the 10 buttons recognized using the joystick plugin for EventGhost (the trigger buttons are not captured). The hat controller and the right joystick are not seen as well.
I have tried to combine the joystick plugin with the Generic HID, but the Generic HID gives random results (I can't find a pattern).
Anyone have a solution?
As an aside (minor issue), has anyone been able to get the Adesso remote to be recognized with the additional media center buttons in EventGhost?

XBOX 360 Controller
Re: XBOX 360 Controller
Or maybe a way to capture the events and make a plugin? I'm a programmer, but I am not familiar with this language... I have read the instructions on creating a plugin, but I don't quite have a grasp on what exactly is being grabbed... How is the device you are creating a plugin for identified?
Re: XBOX 360 Controller
Try with XBDC.
You can customize every axis and button.

Re: XBOX 360 Controller
Thanks... but the controller works natively in Windows 7... I am just trying to remap the buttons for certain programs in Windows. What I'm actually trying to do is use these controllers for remotes for Boxee and Media Center, that way I have one controller for everything (games and media). I remember seeing an app for this out there, but I can't remember the name. I wish I knew now, but I was put off by the fact that there was no demo and the guy wanted you to pay up front, so I had no idea what I'd be up against.bskchaos wrote:Try with XBDC.

edit: XPadder is the name of it... I may purchase it for my purposes, but I love the extensibility of EventGhost and the ease of use... It's an awesome program, I just wish I could extend it. I even have EventGhost on my Android, but I have yet to use it.
Re: XBOX 360 Controller
Again, try XBCD.
Re: XBOX 360 Controller
Dude... Even if you have the official drivers from Microsoft you should try XBCD.
As I told you before, you can customize everything!
Triggers and Axis can become buttons and buttons can become Axis.
Create 4 profiles and switch among them using the xbox button, the LEDs indicate which profile you are using.
Even some games that does not allow to remap buttons can be cheated with this driver.
Ex. Rocket Knight
