Re: Vox Commando - Voice Commands
Hey, Vox went on a diet!
There are no doubt a few loose ends but give it a shot, and let me know what you think.
Notice the WMC and Launch sections of the command tree. You can't rename those groups or they will stop working.

You don't need to use the "Test WMC Scan" button. It is just a test.matt_jackson wrote:Oh boy I love this cute VoxBoxu are my hero

You just need a checkmark next to "Create Artist Grammar" and it will load automatically when you start vox.
You can edit the text field "Command Phrases" to say whatever you want, for example: spielen Musik von der K├╝nstlerin
when you say the phrase followed by the name of the artist it should start playing.
album and song do not work.
It is safer to edit in Vox Command tree editor, but yes, you can edit the xml directly... (make a backup first)matt_jackson wrote: Can I edit ur voicecommands.xml with an editor and put/overwrite my german commands/phrase or something 2 observe about right save?

I recommend using notepad++

Re: Vox Commando - Voice Commands
Thx, I understand this now and as usual quick and great work!
Here now my report:
2 begin with every functions they act what they have 2 do.
My hit rate with the artists are very low. In all probability it is so cuze the most artist have english names and my voicecontrol need german ?!?
I have subjectively the impression the implementation of the commands in this version is slower.
Most prob is, I say "play artist XY" (that┬┤s work) but I don┬┤t see this songlist or artist or whatever. No command 2 see it @ once.
Also some commands from Beta 1/2 missed.
One wish I ask u but u dont understand it what: I need a scroll function. If I see all my albums on screen I wanna say "scroll right/left" and all albums scroll so long till I say "stop". WMC do it cuze I have an Multitouchscreen and he use coverflow with stoped animation.
So, 2 begin it was this first of all, more after longer test.
I wish u a recreative weekend!

Re: Vox Commando - Voice Commands
Put your current vox folder in a zip file and send it to me.
If it seems slower it is either because of a poor microphone (Bluetooth) or you have too many artists (how many?) or as you say it is expecting German and you are saying English names. Vox will be slower if it is having trouble understanding you. Sometimes it can help to adjust your phrases.
What command is missing?

* Exit - closes the connection (not useful via http) (note had to expost function CloseClient() to support)jitterjames wrote:What command is missing?
* mediametadata - returns information on the currently playing media (artist, title, album, etc - varries based on what is playing)
* playrate-get - shows the current playrate of the currently playing media
* playstate-get - shows the current playstate of the currently playing media
* postition-get - shows the current position of the currently playing media
* type - sends a string to the application
* list-artists <filter>- returns a list of artists in the library (very slow - my 1K artists takes 1 minute to return)
* list-artist-songs <filter | index> - returns a list of songs by a given artist (using the index returned by list-artists makes this fast)
* list-artist-albums <> - returns a list of albums by a given artist (using the index returned by list-artists makes this fast)
* list-albums <filter | index> - returns a list of songs by a given artist (using the index returned by list-artists makes this fast)
* list-album-songs <filter | index> - returns a list of songs by a given artist (using the index returned by list-artists makes this fast)
* list-all-custom
* list-artist-custom
* list-album-custom
* list-song-custom
* play-audio-artist <filter | index> - plays all songs by first matching artist (using the index returned by list-artists makes this fast)
* play-audio-album <filter | index> - plays all songs on the specified album by index, or the first album by the first matching artist (using the index returned by list-artists makes this fast)
* play-audio-song <filter | index> - plays the specified song by index, or the first song by the first matching artist (using the index returned by list-artists makes this fast)
* queueaudio-artist <filter | index> - same as play, except adds to the queue
* queueaudio-album <filter | index> - same as play, except adds to the queue
* queueaudio-song <filter | index> - same as play, except adds to the queue
something about my wishing "scroll" function?

Re: Vox Commando - Voice Commands
I don't think any of those commands are useful or apply to VoxCommando except the mediametadata which returns information about the currently playing song. At some point I will try to implement this function but it will require extra programming to break up the information and read it with Text-To-Speech.
you can add the "type" command if you want. Go to the WMC part of the command tree and add a new command. The command has to be in the WMC part of the tree or it won't work. Call it type. Add a phrase that you want to use to trigger the command. Then add some kind of payload. If you want to be able to say anything you can use payloadDictation.
Then you can say something like "type david" and it will be as though you typed david on your keyboard.
No I don't think the scroll is possible.

Re: Vox Commando - Voice Commands
it's OK, it's called VoxCommando !!! There is an O at the end.
I own VoxCommando.com
sounds work fine for me, check the settings and browse to select the wav file you want to use. It uses the same sound for off and stand-by.
I asked you to zip up your vox folder and send it to me. Did you do that yet?
