Matt, I can not re-create that error. It works fine for me. Maybe it is better to put the scripts in a different folder than ..\progamme\..?

I do have a problem running this command when I have mediaCenter open though, because mediaCenter steals the focus back right away.

by the way all of those 1000s in the script can be changed to 100 and it will run much faster.

you could try calling a .bat from Vox that then calls the .vbs but I don't know if that will help.

do you have UAC turned on?

OK, but I drink only the finest imported beers. German of course. Please send them by federal express so I don't have to wait too long.

HAHA. I will have to put paypal donations on my site soon so that people can show their appreciation!

You can probably minimize WMC, change audio default, restore WMC. This is why eventghost is good - you can create macros very easily.

Hi jitterjames !
I wanted to try Vox Commando, but unfortunately it is not possible. It's just for the privileged nations. :D
Here is Microsoft's answer to the question of how it is:

ANSWER:
Unfortunately, the voice control is only available in certain languages. Czech among them is not,
and this feature is not available neither in version of Windows 7 The only option is to buy an English version
of Windows 7 Ultimate and then install the language pack for Czech.
Individual users can use another language interfaces and is able to use the English version as well as voice control.

I know, it is unfortunate. Maybe they will add more languages to WSR in the future.

You could try running it in english, if you have access to an english version of windows, and spell your commands phonetically, but this is not ideal.

Hey thx for your answer! I installed vox command an Microsoft Speech SDK 5.1 on my PC running with XP. But every time I start the program the following error appears:

26.07.2010 22:59:21 error turning recognition on:/r/nSystem.ArgumentException: Value does not fall within the expected range.
at System.Speech.Internal.SapiInterop.SapiProxy.MTAThread.Invoke2(VoidDelegate pfn)
at System.Speech.Internal.SapiInterop.SapiRecognizer.SetInput(Object input, Boolean allowFormatChanges)
at System.Speech.Recognition.RecognizerBase.SetInputToDefaultAudioDevice()
at System.Speech.Recognition.SpeechRecognitionEngine.SetInputToDefaultAudioDevice()
at VoxCommando.Main.TurnSpeechRecognitionOn()

I tried to adjust the default audio device but I can only put my sound driver into the mixer and not only "microphone" or something like this.
Can you pleas help me fix this problem.

Thx (sorry for my English = Germany :oops: )

Sorry about that. I've never tried xp, but I'm pretty sure you need vista or win 7 to run voxCommando.

VoxCommando - Beta Testers Wanted

Post by jitterjames »

http://voxcommando.com/forum/index.php?topic=41.0

I'm getting ready to release version 0.8. so I'm posting 0.79 (off of the main downloads page) for anyone that is feeling adventurous. :shock:

It includes a LOT of new features 8) , and because it allows for macros, it does things a little differently. Give it a whirl and let me know what you think.

Please post questions to the VoxCommando Forums.

thanks

Hi Pako,

I wanted to let you know that I have figured out how to run VoxCommando in english even if you are running windows in another language. You do still need to have the english language pack installed but you can continue to use your native language as the interface for windows vista or windows 7. If you are interested in testing this please contact me, or post here. Installing the english language pack is very easy if you have windows Ultimate, but if you do not there are ways to install it anyway. I don't have a link handy but I have seen this online somewhere.

I have a user in Brazil who uses VoxCommando quite successfully using Portuguese commands with VoxCommando running in English (window 7 ultimate). He has been running VoxCommando on an english user account but I just recently figured out how to run it in a language other than the OS language, so now he can switch back to using windows in Portuguese but run Vox in English. Even though Vox is runnign "in English" he has created Portuguese commands and it seems to work quite well. There is a demo video on youtube and on the VC web site here: http://www.voxcommando.com/videos.asp
