MCE not capturing HID events from non-mce remotes (XP-SP3)
In the past when I have set up my MCE IR receiver on XP with eventghost I was able to capture button presses from other remotes and then configure those to perform different actions with eventghost. This was great because I could use any remote (as long as I saw the button press from it light up the red light on the MCE IR receiver) without having to worry about it being able to emulate an MCE remote. I recently got this working in Windows 7 64 bit using the MCE plugin, however I went to set this up on a XP SP3 system, and I can not seem to get it to work. I thought in the past I accomplished it by using the Generic HID plugin, but I have tried both it and the built in MCE plugin and neither are working for me. I have tried this on versions 0.3.7.r1462 and 0.3.7.r1166 with no success. I know I had this working in XP, but for the life of me I can no longer figure out how I did it. Any suggestions would be welcome.
