It appears English is not your native language. We can't really understand what your problem is from this statement. If you could explain more in detail what you problem is the best you can, jonib and others could be of more help.

EventGhost? or XBMC?
If XBMC have you assigned the remote events to the right XBMC macros? if you don't know how read the Assigning Events to Macros in the short manual.

Hi

Is it possible to have different behaviour depending on the media type that is being played?
For instance my remote has fast skip fwd and skip back. I'd like those to be skip to next chapter on DVDs and videos, and next song or prevous song on audio playlists

XBMC\Skip Next and XBMC\Skip Previous should work like that.

I have made a plugin XBMCRepeat that adds a lot more functionality, if you want more control and functions, check it out.

I have a gyration air remote which is being recognized by eventghost. However, I can't figure out how to make it so that all commands received by eventghost go to the application, and disable them from going through to the focused window. To explain:

I have a primary monitor, which I do web browsing, word processing, etc. on, but I run XBMC from this computer onto my tv in the same room. I'd like my remote commands to ONLY go to the xbmc app, not the computer as a whole, even when XBMC is not the active window. Somebody mentioned findwindow commands, but I'm not quite sure how to do that.

I've placed "macros" in my tree, but that doesn't appear to do the trick. I've enclosed a screenshot of my tree. Thanks.

Why don't you use the XBMC (Or my XBMCRepeat) plugin? It would work like you want it.

Is there anything that I have to enable in XBMC to make this plugin work?

I followed some guides, but they were old and I don't have the same settings in XBMC..

When I try to execute some commands in EG (just like that, with the mouse) nothing happens:

Latest EG, latest XMBC, Win 7 64 (updated).

EDIT: It turned out EventGhost was blocked by Comodo firewall, which prevented interaction with XBMC.

if XBMC is up with a video/music/etc & you execute that command it would pause whatever is playing.
setup... XBMC, W7MC for DVR & Live OTA TV, JRMC for multi-zone audio, EG, MiCasaVerde Vera3, USB-UIRT IR receiver, Harmony remote, 5.2 home theater system

Yeah, I guess that should happen, but it doesn't.

I know many people use the plugin and it has been working for them just fine. You need to ensure you have XBMC properly configured to be controlled from the network, it XBMC settings.

Can you tell me what a properly configured XBMC (for EventGhost) looks like?

I can't find this information anywhere.

BTW, I'm using EG and XBMC on the same PC.
