Trouble connecting HID device on start up

Post by savethehumans45 »

I'm currently using the Tivo slide remote through eventghost to control Boxee on Vista professional.

The trouble I'm having is that while everything is working great, the Tivo remote isnt necessarily attached to the system at startup as it goes to sleep often to save battery power (connects via bluetooth) and eventghost will then be unable to load the plugins for the remote (2 generic HID plugins). If I wake the remote up and restart eventghost, it works great until the remote goes to sleep again.

How can I make event ghost seek out the remote every so often? Can i configure the action of loading plug ins to occur every few seconds?

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks
