I'm using this remote and I can't seem to make it work with EventGhost in Windows 7 64 bit.
It just works as a HID device (doesn't get disabled) and its presses don't get logged by EG.
I also tried this plugin and it was the same.
Is there any way to make it work?
Any other cheap remote which is known to work?
My requirement is simple: I need the remote presses to influence XMBC only, even when XBMC is not focused.

Cheap remotes that work with EventGhost?
Re: Cheap remotes that work with EventGhost?
I'm having similar difficulties.
I found a link to an SVN branch for it here: http://www.eventghost.org/svn/branches/ ... _init__.py
But, I have no idea what i'm doing. I attempted to add an Auvisio folder into the plugin's directory in the hopes I could add the plugin but I got some wierd error: 'AttributeError: 'eg' object has not attribute 'WinUSB'
I'm assuming this means that this means that EventGhost is not interfacing with my remote because it is trying to use some winUSB call.
Could someone please direct this noob into figuring out how to set up this remote? I think i'm close, but I need that push to help me put 2 and 2 together.
Thanks.
