Hi there,
I am new to the forum and have a general question about the USB Uirt.
I am hoping to make it control my Home Theatre Amp (Receiver), specifically volume.
The Amp I have is a Sony STR-DA1200ES, which has intelligent volume (as most new amps do).
This means that when you hold the volume up or down button it increases the increments depending on the length of time the button is held down for.
eg. if you press the button once, it will only alter the volume by one dB.
However if you hold it for 2 seconds it will go from -20 to -35 volume and if you hold it for a second longer it will jump to -60.
This is a feature that cannot be disabled on the amp.
What i want to know is, is there a way to press and hold a key that will translate to an ir burst of the equivalent time from the USB UIRT.
I am aware that I can auto repeat the macro, however this creates a break in the transmission, therefore resulting in 1 dB increments.
This will also be handy when controlling FFWD on a DVD Player from the USB UIRT.
Please let me know if I have worded this unclearly.
Regards, Ben.
