Send PC to Sleep Over the Network

Post by speed_mark »

The scenario is that I watch a movie on my secondary computer which reads files from my main computer. When I am done with the movie, I would like Eventghost to put both computer in to standby mode.

Is there an eventghost plugin that can do this? Perhaps send a command over the network from one eventghost to the other?

An option I thought would be to use the File operation plugin on the secondary computer to write a file over the network to the first. The first computer uses a directory watcher plugin to monitor the directory and shutdown when it sees the file (after deleting it).

Does anyone have a more elegant solution?

Thanks!
