Hi all brand new to this
I have downloaded Vox commando but how do i get it to work?
How can i get it to operate Media Monkey
Please help on this totally new to all this everything will need to be taught from scratch

Hi Andy,
You want to head on over to VoxCommando.com first of all. Make sure you have the latest version from the download page over there. There is also the broadcaster plugin for EventGhost on the same download page.
If you have never used EventGhost either there is a bit of a learning curve. Don't expect to get it all up and running in 5 minutes. If you use XBMC or WindowsMediaCenter, it is a lot easier to set up because VoxCommando can talk directly to these programs without requiring EventGhost.
If you want to use MediaMonkey (I assume you are at least faimiliar with MediaMonkey) then I suggest you first familiarize yourself with eventGhost and the MediaMonkey plugin made by paco.

2 - the basics of the MediaMonkey plugin should be pretty easy to figure out once you understand how eventGhost works, but if you need more information or a place to ask questions specific to the plugin you can look here: http://www.eventghost.org/forum/viewtop ... ediamonkey

thanks for the heads up. What a pain. I have restored the wiki and blocked the offending ip. We'll see how long that lasts. I was trying to leave the wiki open to encourage user contributions.
You don't need a special version of the broadcaster plugin for VoxCommando. The latest version of the broadcaster plugin as found in the svn is recommended, since I have contributed to it. The later versions of the plugin can send commands back to VoxCommando from eventGhost on another port. Also some of the older versions of the plugin caused one cpu core to go to 100%. Ouch.
AFAIK the svn version should be the same as the one found on the VoxCommando downloads page: http://voxcommando.com/downloads.asp
