Noob Boob with WinTV PVR USB2/USBUIRT/ Eventghost

Post by casper »

I would like to use USBUIRT to change the channel on my cable box.

Using Eventghost, I am able create a macro that emits an IR burst and changes the channel on the decoder, but I can only trigger the IR burst by manually clicking 'Execute' in Eventghost.

I would like to be able to set the channel according to a time schedule but do not have a clue how to link the Eventghost macro with such a scheduler.

Any help would be gratefully received.

You can call EG from an external application with the "-e" parameter to trigger an event . Use a commandline like this:
"C:\Program files\EventGhost\EventGhost.exe" -e MySchedulerEvent

You can also use the "Timer" plugin of the latest betas to make a scheduler inside EG.
