Eventghost - Timebomb?

Post by popy »

Hello.

After a month ago i have successfully built eventghost svn 1479. This build runs very well on WindowsXP 32Bit and Windows 7 x64 over a month now.
Today my Eventghost build doesnt run on both machines. If i start eventghost the little green tray icon appears and also eventghost.exe in task manager.

But there is no eventghost gui at all and also nothing of the eventghost makros running -> EG is like dead.

If i set my current rtc date to 25.9.2010 (= build date) eventghost starts :?: :?: :!: :!: :!:

Please let me know what i can do.

Thanks

I do not know what the cause is.
I've never tried to do my own build.
Have you tried to run EventGhost with -debug argument ?

Ok have built r1481 and set time/date to 1,2,3,4 months in the future.

Eventghost runs as i should. Maybe a bug in r1479?

No have not tried the debug argument. But if it occours with r1481 again i will try it.

Its good see someone here in the forums, it looks like eventghost development is dead :(

No i havnt misunderstood something :)

Ill thougth that development has stopped because there was no build since 6 months now.
So ill build it my self (just want to use the newer svn version of the DVBViewer plugin).
Ill think the newer one runs better as released r1462.

It would be lovely if you could share your new build with us, but of course we need to figure out the time bomb aspect... I have only done some very light scripting and plugin development. I would not know how to compile from the svn.
