EG detect remote keypresses but not MediaPortal

I have configured EventGhost with the MediaPortal plugin and configured the macros with events for my remote's (MCE) keys. I have also configured MediaPortal with the MessagePlugin and have enabled it. When I press the keys on my remote, they show up in the EventGhost log, but they dont get passed to MediaPortal

EventGhost version is 0.3.7.r1462 and MP's is 1.1.1.0, OS is Win7 32bits.

Please help.

An update. Pressing the key on the remote generates the following in the log:

Code: Select all

MceRemote.Ok ----> event
Ok ----> macro
MediaPortal: Ok ----> action

So EventGhost configuration is probably ok. Is it MediaPortal that is ignoring the action sent from EventGhost? It seems so but I cannot find anything in the MediaPortal's log

Does anyone know if it is possible to use the MediaPortal's KeyboardInput plugin instead of the MessagePlugin?

No, I am running both with an administrator level account and UAC is disabled.

As a test, I added the plugin for foobar2000 and configured the remote keys for it. It worked perfectly the first time. I wish the MessagePlugin has more logging options, but it is not developed any further; its author moved to IR Server Suite and has since left its (active) development also.

It is working now All I did was to restart the system and that has fixed the problem.
