I am quite new to this and would like to have more information for controlling my desktop from universal remote control. I have configured Q-Stor USB IrDA adapter and installed EventGhost on my Windows XP machine.
Can you guys pls. help me to configure EventGhost for Q-Stor USB adapter (QIRU2) and GE universal remote control to control my desktop?

Help for configuring Q-Stor USB to IrDA Adapter

Nearly all IrDA adapters are not capable to work with consumer IR remotes. I only know one device that is an exception (ACTiSYS IR200L), but even this one doesn't work very reliable.
IrDA is a completely other thing than consumer IR. It works with other frequencies, different modulation and different codes.
So there is no chance to use your USB IrDA adapter with EventGhost.
You would need one of the supported consumer IR receivers:
