how to reset a looping macro

I have a macro set that will start a timer after all of its actions have been completed. After a number of seconds, that timer initiates an event, which is placed at the beginning of the same macro. So it will basically repeat the macro continually once it has been executed to begin with. What I need to do is find a way to reset that looping sequence. I had created another macro that, after being executed based on the occurrence of an event, would disable the looping macro. The problem is, I don't want that macro to be permanently disabled. However, every time I try to reenable the macro, the looping sequence continues. So I want to be able to stop the looping sequence, but have the macro able to be executed at a later time. The only idea I have is to exit EventGhost and have it be reopened, which works, but there's no way to automatically do that as far as I know.

I do not know if I understand correctly. If so, then the solution is very simple.
You have to disable / enable only the action that starts the timer.
I better understand your problem when you give here an attachment (picture or configuration file).

My apologies for not explaining more clearly. However I have now figured it out. I needed to use the clear pending events action. I had tried before and it didn't work, but it was not placed in the right order in the macro sequence.
