Broadcaster Plugin stopped working

Post by petemcn »

Everything was working fine until yesterday when I restarted my computer. Now I can't send UDP messages to my computer and when I open the EG log I see:

Plugin:Broadcaster
Error starting plugin:Boradcaster
Traceback (most recent call last) (1462)
File "C:\Program Files (x86)\EventGhost\eg\Classes\PluginInfo.py",line330,in Start
File "C:\Program Files (x86)\EventGhost\plugins\Broadcaster\_init_.py", line 133, in_start_
File "C:\Program Files (x86)\EventGhost\plugins\Broadcaster\_init_.py", line 87, in_init_
NameError:global name 'addrs' is not defined

All the indented lines have an error "X" by them and are in red.

I didn't change anything with respect to EG. I only restarted the computer so I have no idea what happened here. If anybody could help me out I'd appreciate it.

It is very odd that this would happen if nothing changed.

also you could try to reconfigure your broadcaster settings. maybe your ip address changed? or maybe something else changed in your network setup that is confusing it.

If that doesn't work, I would try a fresh install of EG and see if the broadcaster is working then.

Thanks. I guess I'll try the fresh install. I don't think it is an IP address change b/c it was working fine, I restarted the computer and since it won't work anymore. The computer can still connect to the internet fine.
