Kira keene plugin: transmit IR problem

I have catched the onkyo 595 volume up signal : (learn)

I ve tested with iranywhere it works: so I can send the signal to the ampli

In eventghost I ve removed the "k" copied in action when i execute I got:

I ve checked the code:

It is nothing wrong with your ir codes, they work fine for me (at least the Keene accepts them and sends without error messages)

The error message might be a bit misleading. Also if the "Send" command fails, if there is something wrong with the device, you get the same error

I did setup my device as a standalone, see picture below

Attached is a version with some added print statements to allow some debugging, the result from my test, see below

I ran your debug version here the results:

so it looks like the command is ok but it still doesn't work

so I had a look to the kira configuration:

I m using a external ir receiver

but again, the same code send from kira software works; so I doubt taht this is a hardware issue

Hi,

I notice that you have another model, the KIRA 128.

I only have the "normal" model. I do not think this available when the plugin was developed. Wether it is fully compatible, I have no idea

Something obviously goes wrong during sending so there must be some kind of compatibilty issue

well the only diff is that the kira128 stored some code internaly.. i m really wondering how it should impact the transmit ir function
ir codes are accessible trought a webpage
a alternative is to call the js from perl or similar ..
lot of work ..

Hi Swisswolf,

If not already done, pls upgrade the firmware to the latest (1.75) just to be sure we have the latest. I did so yesterday with my KIRA's and they work just fine (as before)

I have looked into the api and the devices should be fully compatible as you say

I suggest the following that we try each others devices; I have made a portforwarding in my firewall to my Keene so that you can test it from your EG application. You just have to change the host name in the plugin setting (I'll pm you the host name) and I suggest you do same so I can try yours

If so we know my device is working and your code is fine. Next is to find out why your device is responding like that. Maybe stupid question but is the IR code working anyway? I mean is it only the device that reports error but the IR code anyway is transmitted?

If you like you can do the reverse, forward the port in your firewall and I can try to connect to your device. You can pm me with the details. When we are finished, we will close the ports in the firewall again

well I ve always let "Standalone" in field: "Host" which was I guess default value!
(as in your screen shot)
but by introducing your address I realized ....
I put the IP address of the device and it works!
so so stupid
I apologize... just started with that stuff a couple of day

I'm working on an updated version that is supporting also pronto codes directly, maybe you are interested to use it/test later

Can you send the code one more time to my Keene and I will se if I can catch it?
