Hi,
I have a standard MCE IR transceiver (type SMK RXXX6000-0141E). For some reason it can't learn nor transmit IR codes from my Pioneer remote (AV receiver VSX808), that is: blasting the taught code doesn't result in any response at the receiver. It seems to be able to learn and correctly blast codes from other devices (my TV for instance). Copying (Pioneer) Pronto Hex codes doesn't work either.
My questions are:
is this a (known?) limitation of the transceiver? Thus is purchasing another IR transceiver a better option ? Or does it sound like my transceiver is not working properly ?
Or are the Pioneer remote codes that exotic ? Anybody having a similar remote and transceiver that succeeded in blasting Pioneer IR codes to his AV receiver ?
