General quesiton about EventGhost and iPad/iTouch

Post by WannaTheater »

HI all,

I have been using eventGhost for several years, but am still a rookie, hence the rookie question:

I have remote control codes for a Lutron Grafik Eye 3106, which sits in a closet with my HTPC. I would like to be able to use an IPAD/iPhone/iTouch application to generate a signal to eventGhost as a trigger, then have eventGhost output the IR codes over an IR blaster to my lighting control unit. Hence, I would be able to control my lighting with an iPad, without an IR trigger.

Does such an iPad application exist?

Thanks!

I don't know of an app but you could make one or find an app that you can have send http commands and use those to trigger Macros. Or just make a simple web page to do it.
setup... XBMC, W7MC for DVR & Live OTA TV, JRMC for multi-zone audio, EG, MiCasaVerde Vera3, USB-UIRT IR receiver, Harmony remote, 5.2 home theater system

Both iRule (www.iruleathome.com) and IRTouch+ support EG and can be used to solve your case. Only on ipad/iphone
though, don't think they work on the ipod touch.
