Task.Activated.Desktop after few seconds

Hi,

Few weeks ago I started to notice that my XBMC was not getting the right key presses anymore. Usually that happens when some other app steals the focus but now it is not the case. Looking at the event ghost window, I see that after activating XBMC (Task.Activated.XBMC), it stays for few seconds and then automatically it gets Task.Deactivated.XBMC, followed by Task.Activated.Desktop.

I then noticed that it does not happen only with XBMC but with every window I focus on.

I did not upgrade my EG installation recently and the only things I can say I change are those offered by Windows Update (I have Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bits).

Did anyone else notice such behaviors? If yes, did you find any solution? It practically renders EG unusable.

I assume you are not using a XBMC control plugin? like XBMC2 that's included with the latest version of EventGhost.
Then XBMC don't need to be in focus to still receive control actions.

No, I do not use a plugin. Regardless, it can happen with any application (this automatic deactivation) so the problem is a little more generic than XBMC.

Anyway, my main usage for the remote is XBMC so I will try tonight the plugin.

This is just a guess from a neophyte but it seems like maybe an OS issue?
Or something going on besides remote/EG?
Maybe some background task/action is jumping through/out of windows/processes?

Is there a way to see if this focus changing is still going on while EG is NOT running.

By the way, the actual focus does not change. If I press a key, for example, the event still goes to the same application. Just EG shows that it was deactivated and the desktop was activated. This is bothering me because it switches to another exclusive mode and it changes my button assignments.

I installed the latest version of EG and the strange behavior is gone.
