I am thinking of switching from girder and netremote (I have been using this system for the last 6 years). The only thing holding me back is the fact that there is no plugin for my insteon powerlinc controller. This works quite well with Girder and netremote.
I really do like the simplicity of the android app for EG. Is there any way to send an event from EG to girder to execute a lighting action?

Thinking of making the switch from Girder and Netremote
Re: Thinking of making the switch from Girder and Netremote
I'm sure you could interface Girder with EG via network sender/receiver or http. There is an Insteon plugin for EG and it is continuing development, but it is very basic right now.
setup... XBMC, W7MC for DVR & Live OTA TV, JRMC for multi-zone audio, EG, MiCasaVerde Vera3, USB-UIRT IR receiver, Harmony remote, 5.2 home theater system

I have tried network sender. I couldn't get it to work. My host PC is at 192.168.1.102 on port 20005. I configured this into the network sender plugin with the girder password and no luck.Livin wrote:I'm sure you could interface Girder with EG via network sender/receiver or http. Any other suggestions?

I don't use Girder, not sure if anyone here does... I suggest asking on the Girder forum since you will need to ensure the comm methods are compatible.
