Hi,
I get the following error log when loading the USBUIRT plugin into eventghost.
Error starting plugin: USB-UIRT
Traceback (most recent call last) (1494):
File "C:\Program Files (x86)\EventGhost\eg\Classes\PluginInfo.py", line 330, in Start

File "ctypes\__init__.pyc", line 366, in __getattr__
File "ctypes\__init__.pyc", line 371, in __getitem__
AttributeError: function 'UUIRTSetRawReceiveCallback' not found
Please let me know what I am doing wrong. The USBUIRT driver seems to be correctly installed, but EG is facing issues.
I tried with the latest version EventGhost_0.4.1.r1529
Any help will be very much appreciated.

USBUIRT/WinXP/Eventghost issue
Re: USBUIRT/WinXP/Eventghost issue
I'm using USBUIRT with latest EventGhost without any amjor issues except. Using Win7 x64 and I see there are different drivers for XP and Win7/Vista. Only issue I have is random unknown events from USBUIRT. Looks like the infrared receiver isn't turned off. It should only be on during code learning. No big deal since they are not mapped to anything.
You could try install the 2.1.16 drivers for Win7/Vista. They support both 32 and 64 bit and I think they also support XP. Maybe worth a try?

Torstein

Re: USBUIRT/WinXP/Eventghost issue
Hi all, I'm new.
at first, many thanks to all EG authors and testers for this great little piece of software (Girder sucks!!!).
i use the following configuration for my brand new USB-UIRT w/o any problems:
- WinXP Prof. SP3
- USB-UIRT driver v1.4
- EventGhost V0.4.1.r1534
- USB-UIRT plug-in from EventGhost V0.3.6.r1487 <-<-<-<-< !!!
i downloaded EventGhost V0.3.6.r1487 from an external site, due to that older versions then V3.7 were removed from this site unfortunately. why that?
it seems that the USB-UIRT plug-in was completely rewritten: the well working old V1.0.444 was written by Jon Rhees. the "new V1.0" came from Bitmonster. i have no glue why it was rewritten, due to that it simply works (at least for me
).
the new version produces many "unknown" events, furthermore the "Pass short repeat codes as enduring events" function doesn't work. i found many error messages from other users out there in the www. i hope the problems will be solved same day. temporarily, the old USB-UIRT plug-in could be included again into the installer package (given that it works in future releases).
for all, who would like to test the old USB-UIRT plug-in with their configuration i have attached it. copy the USB-UIRT folder to %ProgramFiles%\EventGhost\plugins\ overwriting existing files, or rename it for adding as a "new" plug-in.
best regards
