Windows 7 Media Center and PS3 Remote

Post by ethereal »

Hello there thank you for reading my post.

I am using event ghost and the MCE plugin to control Windows Media Center using my PS3 bluray remote control.
Everything seemed to be okay but i have found 1 problem - when i want to make a scheduled recording i wish to use the search function and there is a text box - i am told if you need the onscreen keyboard hit OK or double click the mouse. i hit OK (enter on my remote) and nothing happened, i thought maybe i should have linked the PS3 enter to Media Center enter so i added another button and nothing happened.

i checked the list of shortcuts for media center and i couldn't see one for OK - i decided to add a double click to a PS3 button as media center said if i double clicked in the text box it would open the onscreen keyboard. the double click worked but my mouse pointer was not in the text box (i'm not using a mouse but there is a pointer).

1. Has anybody else had problems opening the onscreen keyboard in media center? how did they solve it?

2. if i have to use double click is there anyway to select the text box?

thank you
