I've been trawling the forum for a morning trying to find someone with the error i'm having on two Virtual Windows Servers one Server 2008 R2 SP1 and one Windows Home Server 2011. I have a physical Windows 2008 R2 SP1 machine that runs EG flawlessly as well as three media centre machines, so im hoping its not just me
I currently have no plugins added and still the errors appear. I have so far tried:
1. Uninstalling and reinstalling r1540
2. Uninstalling and installing r1512
3. Installing to a different directory (as i suspected permissions at one point)
4. Removed all references to EventGhost from program files, programdata, appdata and registry then reinstalling
5. Tearing hair out and posting this...
Please someone give me a direction to head in... There could be a beer in it for you!

Re: Application launch error
Any reason you are running EG out of the user profile and in the documents directory? Windows 7 has a ton of security restrictions (like changing stuff in the program files, and user profiles) that could be preventing the worker process from executing properly. Have you tried running EG out of a directory in the root?
