User Account Control - Auto Load File in config.py

Post by jmsosullivan »

Hi all,

I'm developing an application, and I've edited the Config.py script in AppData so that autoloadFilePath is set to a custom.xml file. This works fine when User Account Control is turned off. But for some reason, when it's turned on, EventGhost will just load the default Example.xml file.

This occurs on both Windows Vista and 7.

Any solutions?

Thanks for your help

EG loads the XML file listed in the profile ini file. (I think AppData Eventghost). I bet the difference in profile is whats causing this. Try invoking EG with the -f command and put the path to the XML

Thanks for your reply,

Unfortunately I can't find a profile ini file anywhere. I've looked all over AppData: Local, LocalLow and Roaming. I've also looked in Program Data. Are you sure this is the correct name for the file?
