Suggestion to clean up the plugin section

Post by krambriw »

The plugin section is looking like a mess. Bitmonsters original idea, which I think is fine, was that only plugin developers and above could create new topics. Today it is open to everyone and questions and plugins are mixed in a "salata mista" look and feel.

Could we change the access rights tio this section accordingly?

Move Question related topics to "General Support " section?

Best regards, Walter

I agree and think it needs a revamp. I'd actually prefer to see a non-forum section where coders post scripts... with a standard format to ensure enough info is provided. Example...

Script Name
Usage type: app control, user input, output control, etc
Detailed description
Feature List
What's new in latest release
Known Bugs
Support provided: best effort, no support, etc
Release Stage: Alpha, Beta, v1.4.2, etc
Install instructions
Roadmap
setup... XBMC, W7MC for DVR & Live OTA TV, JRMC for multi-zone audio, EG, MiCasaVerde Vera3, USB-UIRT IR receiver, Harmony remote, 5.2 home theater system
