Packard Bell MCE Remote

Post by andrewch »

Hi all,

I purchased this remote: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ACER-MCE-XBM ... 3cb7860bf4

and im trying to get it working with EG. It comes up in my device manager as "HID Compliant Consumer Device" and "HID Keyboard Device". Ive looked over the X10 instructions but I dont think thats what im looking for. Is it possible to get this remote to work with EG? Ultimately what im trying to do is have it control XBMC.

Thanks

Update

Ok, I got it working by installing the keyboard plugin... Rookie mistake. Most keys log a code in EG except for the volume keys. They do control the volume in windows but no code logged in EG. Any ideas?

Windows 7
EG r1544

Thanks
