I'm looking for a mechanism to allow an IP camera event (i.e. motion detected) to trigger an event within eg. The cameras can be configured to transmit plain text via TCP to a destination IP:port, but not to function in a two-way communication (as it appears the network plug-in requires). Any thoughts on how I might be able to trigger an event from this? (I can incorporate CR/LF commands into the TCP output, but I'm limited to only a few lines).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Network Event Receiver plugin should be pretty straight forward.
Just add it and accept the defaults.
It just depends on the camera configuration.
Does anything happen when you configure it to the computer's ip and port 1024?
