Control of a network UPnP player

Post by Jabberwock »

Has anyone succeeded in controlling a networked UPnP player with EventGhost? More specifically, I need to play a specific resource from a specific server on a specific player - not on the same computer (to turn on the kitchen Internet radio for my wife).

I have thought that a command line control point would do the job, but, surprisingly, it seems there aren't any for Windows... If there is anything else, I could not find it.

If possible, I would like to avoid loading a "heavy duty" player for this (e.g. Windows Media Player or VLC). EventGhost runs on my Atom HTPC, so resources are somewhat important...
