BlueIris

Post by theendisnye »

I wanted to integrate BlueIRis (CCTV Monitoring Program) into my Home Automation which runs on xPL.

At its simplest level I would like to be able to execute a macro irrespective of the camera in an ideal circumstance I would like to be able to execute a different macro dependent upon which camera is activated (generating a slightly different xPL message).

So I found EventGhost earlier this evening and very quickly created a Macro which generates the requisite xPL events. I am now trying to work out how I can get BlueIris to tell EventGhost to perform that Macro or a specific Macro.

In BlueIris I can call a program and pass a set of parameters I just can't see how if I call EventGhost I can pass the parameter and use that to execute a specific Macro. Hopefully this is my lack of understanding of EventGhost, can anyone offer me a steer?

Use the -event parameter to run EventGhost. It will create an event, that you then put in the macro you want to trigger. (Uncheck the log option in the bottom of the window to see the event)
