Hi. I'm using Microsoft MCE IR blaster (exposed, not hidden). I have my Harman Kardon AVR-247 hidden inside the cabinet. I connected a stereo cable from MCE receiver to Harman Kardon Remote Input port. I'm using XBMC, Logitech Harmony One.
I'd like to be able to use my Logitech Harmony One to control volume of Harman when watching XBMC. I don't see any plugin that supports this event? Newbie here. Please help.

You'll want to use the Microsoft MCE Remote - Vista/Win7 plugin.
You'll have to add a Transmit IR action, and put in the Harman's IR code for volume up/down.
When you hit the volume up/down on the harmony remote you should see an event in the EG log.
Drag this event to the macro containing the action.
So when the button is pressed, EG triggers the action which sends it to the IR blaster.
I've never used an IR blaster that plugs directly in, but I assume it works the same way.
If you want to only do this action when XMBC is running, there are a couple XBMC plugins around here that you can use (see here). Use the XBMC start event to trigger a "enable an item" action, which enables the volume macros. Likewise for XBMC shutdown and disable action.

I've followed your instructions to add macro, transmit IR. I then use the learn function to capture the IR signal. When test it, it's working. When I execute the macro, it works. Now, How do I proceed from here? I've tried pointing my mce remote (the remote that came with the IR receiver) and it doesn't respond. Do I have to map the macro to certain buttons of the MCE plugin? (volume up or down perhaps) How do I do this?

EventGhost does have a bit of a learning curve, but its powerful and the best home automation software I've ever used.

If you notice the log window, all the lines with lighting bolts are actions. When you hit a button on your remote it should show up as an action. You can drag this action to a macro, and then watch the magic happen. I couldn't tell you exactly what the event will be, but it may end with a bunch of numbers.

So you're saying I've created the macro. Now, I've got to assign an event that will trigger the macro, e.g. Increasing the volume using mce remote. Am I correct? If this is correct, I'll give it a try.

Hi. After following instructions, it works for a few presses. A few meaning up to five presses, the volume of my harman responds. Afterwhich, the log screen seems to not respond. When you press the buttons consecutively, there will be a delay and the commands will appear all at the same time, it is no longer instantaneous.
Any idea why?
