Seperate Single Press From Hold And Cancel Other Event

Just started using EG (latest version) and after hours of trying things i'm stumped..

Using a mac mini with built in IR and apple remote, as i'm sure you are aware that the apple remote sends 2 different events for the first press (HID.AAAAAAAA) and then a different event (HID.BBBBBBBB) every half a second or so for aslong as you keep the button held down..

If I add "Wait 0.5s" to A how can I make B cancel A

Also how can I choose to only process so many events per second, for example I have create a mode that allows me to browse folders, I've assigned the down button to "Emulate Key: Down" and the Hold Down Button event to page down, I want to ignore the first 2 hold button events because I constantly jump several pages without meaning to, i also only want to have a maximum for 1 page down per second.

Any ideas?
